From Registration to Champion.
Registration Phase
Form a team with one other student or professional under 30 (no mixed teams). Pay the entry fee (£15 for students, £25 for professionals). Registration is open for 3 weeks per event cycle. Anyone can register - the quiz decides who competes.
Confirmation Week
Every registered team receives a personal call in Week 4 to confirm they are attending. Teams that don't confirm are replaced from the waitlist. We make sure every spot counts.
Selection Round
All confirmed teams sit a timed finance quiz. Negative marking applies. The top 4 scoring teams qualify for the Debate Night. Results announced immediately.
24hrs Before Event
Semi Final topics are released to all 4 teams exactly 24 hours before the event. Teams prepare arguments for BOTH sides - for and against. They do not know which side they will argue until they are on stage.
Event Night - Semi Finals
Teams walk on stage and draw a chit - FOR or AGAINST. They have 2 minutes to collect their thoughts. Then 5-6 minutes to argue. Judges score each speaker. Winners advance to the Grand Finale.
Event Night - Grand Finale
The Grand Finale topic is revealed live on stage. Both teams prepare for 1 hour in isolation. They return, pick the chit, and debate in front of the full audience. Judges deliberate. One team is crowned champion.
